What cookies and similar storage are #
A cookie is a small piece of text that a website stores in your browser. It can be read back by the same website later, which is what lets a site remember something about your visit, such as whether you are logged in or what you chose in a previous visit. This policy also covers similar technologies, such as data stored locally in your browser, on the same basis.

Before you choose, if you decline, if you accept #
Before you make a choice on our cookie banner, no tracking cookie is set on your browser.
If you decline tracking, two cookies are still set: one records that you made a decision, and the other holds a receipt of that decision so we can show it back to you if you return to the site. Both last for 1 year. We set these deliberately, so that we can honour your refusal and do not ask you again unnecessarily. No cookie that would let us recognise you as the same visitor across different visits is set when you decline.
If you accept tracking, two further cookies are set: one identifies you as a returning visitor, and the other keeps track of your current visit for as long as you remain active. Both cookies' exact lifetimes are given in the table above.
Cookies our banner sets on customers' sites #
When our consent banner and tracking tag run on a website that uses our service, they set the same four cookies described above, on that website's own domain rather than ours. We act as the processor for that website's visitors in this case; the website itself is the controller. Its own cookie policy should link to, or repeat, the same detail.
Changing your mind #
You can change or withdraw your cookie choice at any time. Use the cookie preferences option available on the site, which takes effect immediately and updates the cookies described above to match your new choice.
Browser controls #
Most browsers let you see, delete, and block cookies through their own settings. Blocking all cookies may stop some parts of a website from working as intended. Your browser's help pages will explain how to manage cookies for your specific browser.
Local storage and similar technologies #
Our tracking tag does not use local storage, session storage, or any similar browser storage: it uses cookies only. Our own website, however, uses a page-navigation library that stores your current page path and a cached copy of recently visited pages in your browser's session storage, so that the back and forward buttons work as expected; this is cleared automatically when you close the tab, and the table above names both entries. Our own dashboard, which only account holders use, may also store a small preference such as your chosen display theme locally in your browser. Neither is used to track you and neither is shared with anyone.
Changes to this policy #
We may update this policy from time to time. The version number and date at the top of this page tell you when it was last changed.
